Love reading novels?
Let’s build your English through shared reading and discussion in a Book Club–style lesson.

We practise reading fluency, vocabulary, pronunciation, and discuss themes, characters, and ideas.

Class Structure

Classes begin with a brief free-style catch-up (5-15 mins), then move into shared reading and discussion.
This warm-up builds speaking fluency, activates vocabulary, and helps students switch into English mode. It is guided by the instructor.

Afterward, we focus on reading, comprehension, and literary discussion.

The warm-up can be reduced or skipped upon request.

Lesson Options

  2. Read in advance and discuss questions and ideas

Personalised feedback is provided. Homework questions are available upon request.

Advanced novels: most of these books are for age 17 and older, though a few are listed for younger ages. Please read the list carefully.

15.  Anne of Green Gables ( Classic Canadian Novel) For age 12 and older ( further novels of the series could be continued, books 2 through 8. 
16. A Wrinkle in Time  ( Fantasy/SciFic ), also the book  An Acceptable Time  ( can be read as a stand-alone) for ages 12 and older 
17. One Long Weekend --( adult ) - uses British English 
18. Familiaris ( Adult ) Literary fiction -  This is my favourite book -- but it is very long, around 1000 pages, which would be a long project.
