Recommended English Level: Proficient/Intermediate/Advanced (Beginner's may struggle, but not impossible!)

Lesson Outline:
Introduction
(5 minutes)
Explanation of idioms. Japanese examples to ensure understanding of what an idiom is. Student will be presented with several common idioms.
Recommended English Level: Proficient/Intermediate/Advanced (Beginner's may struggle, but not impossible!)
Because of the ambiguity of idioms in a literal translation, the main goal of the lesson is not to have a in-depth theoretical understanding of the expression, but rather to memorize the idiom and know the general context and usage of the idiom.

Activity I
(10 minutes)
(10 minutes)
Student will be requested to read idioms aloud. Student then says what they think each idiom could possibly mean. Context will be given of each idiom of when it is appropriate to use.
Activity II
(10 minutes)
Tutor will present and enact scenarios to which the student must choose and respond with the correct idiom.
