Hi!! If you are interested in Japan or the Japanese language, get introduced to basic skills here with me!

Hiragana and Katakana are the two basic Japanese alphabets and are the building blocks of the language. If you haven't already studied Hiragana and Katakana, this is a great place to start! If you have already studied them and feel comfortable reading and writing them, we can study basic everyday words and phrases for reading, listening and writing. Let's enjoy studying Japanese!!

Tomomi makes the lessons really fun and approachable! She speaks slowly and clearly, and anything you miss ...

I took four beginners lessons with Tomomi leading up to my honeymoon in Japan. I had been self-studying Japanese for about 1.5 years, but had never taken a lesson or done much speech practice. Tomomi makes the lessons really fun and approachable! She speaks slowly and clearly, and anything you miss she writes down on a whiteboard to deconstruct. Her english is also excellent, which is great for beginners who may need a lot of explanation or have detailed questions. And also, the fact that she is based in the US makes it easy to find a convenient time slot for the lesson. After each lesson she sends over a detailed review sheet with everything that you practiced, so it's easy to integrate what you've learned into flashcards or other review. I'd highly recommend her to anybody who is newer to Japanese and looking for a solid introduction to the language.
