Lessons for Engineering and Maintenance Technicians in the aviation industry, also,Automotive Industry and similar technical fields
Aims: Improve and perfect language proficiency in aviation subjects
Content: as required, by Student
Lessons are focused on:
Listening:
- to understand native speakers, professionals
- To understand experts talking informally about technical aspects
Speaking:
- to communicate about technical topics
Reading:
- to understand a wide variety of text including diagrams, tables, graphs, brochures, and job advertisements
Writing:
- to write simple descriptions and explanations on technical subjects
Learning includes: basics of English grammar, pronunciation and improving vocabulary.
Examples:
- Aircraft systems (structure, engine, etc.)
- Safety and emergency
- Aircraft specifications
- Maintenance of aircraft
Emphasis on:
- communication skills in working environment
- understanding of English in technical documentation, handbooks, manuals, etc.
Target groups:
- aviation and airlines industry staff
- aircraft maintenance staff
- airport operators
- engineers
Lessons are aimed for everyday English language usage (verbal or written) concerning English Technical terminology. Lessons are aimed on usage English language for understanding verbal and written meaning and usage of specific technical terminology in Aviation, also,Automotive Industry and similar technical fields. Understanding of technical words, phrases, idioms, acronyms used during negotiations, on meetings, for correspondence, for official letters and emails. Students will learn and practice using common word, sentences for easy communication relating technical subject and easy practical way to learn elementary Technical English language.
Our Lessons should be always pleasant and decent funny.
Lesson structure:
Tutor`s short review of goals and presenting new material in small steps, with student practice on each step, giving clear and detail instructions and explanation. Tutor asking a few questions to check student understanding. Student speaking is main part of Lesson and focal point with guiding student during practice, with constant corrections and feedback by Tutor.
Lesson methods are:
a) Teaching through discussion about chosen topics. Discussion could be the best way to engage students on the process of learning as well as the best way for Tutor`s feedback.
b) Traditional lecture ( like classroom presentation)
- Lecturing is an oral presentation intended to present instructions relating chosen Lesson topics
- Questioning is asking most relevant question about Lesson
- Discussion is Student-Tutor interaction about chosen topics
Recommended correspondence and transactions related to the lesson should be conducted through the Cafetalk system (emails via CAFETALK -MY PAGE)
Also, communications during Lessons shall be conducted via Skype chat text box.
NOTE:
Lessons may be presented via ONLINE WHITEBOARD (e.g. : Aww App with interactive collaboration online in Browser ) for collaboration in real time between Student and Tutor. Our voice and video online collaboration during Lessons will be via SKYPE.
Materials are flexible:
-Textbook, worksheets, homework prepared by students (recommended as best options) and sent to Tutor before scheduled Lessons(in JPEG,PDF format), OR,
-Lessons available on my Homepage, just click on link:
On my Homepage you can find many interesting topics for Student ( textual, audio, and video lessons for download).
If necessary, we could use Dropbox.
Lesson level is recommended for:
school grades (6- 12), (K6-K12) and adults too.

-advanced, for Technical professionals purposes
Lesson structure and methods depend on student`s needs and requests.
