My hometown is a super small town in Florida called Shalimar, but it's very close to the beautiful beach city of Destin, Florida (so let's just say I'm from there!). Where I'm from, everybody knows everyone. For example, if I go to the grocery store with my mom, I will expect to hear the phrase, "Fancy seein' you here!" about 50 times.

Hello! My name is Shiho and I currently reside in Germany. I completed my Japanese teacher training course in August 2022, and have been teaching mainly Japanese lessons on Cafetalk since September 2022. I also have experience studying in Germany, so I offer consulting sessions as well as German language lessons.

Although it has only been two months since I started teaching at Cafetalk, I am very much looking forward to meeting people from all walks of life. When I listen to their stories, I am deeply moved by the way each person faces themselves and tries their best to live their life. Hello everyone, I am Nai. I am from Taichung, Taiwan, and I currently live in Hualien. I studied Chinese in university, and multicultural education in graduate school. I used to work as an editor for books and websites, but I currently work as a Chinese language teacher at a university and online. I am rejoiced to be able to interact with all of you on Cafetalk. My father studied in New York when he was younger, so we had many jazz records that he bought there, and they were often played at home. He often took me to concerts as well. I was very fortunate in terms of having access to music, and I am grateful to my parents for that. Because of this environment, I naturally became interested in music myself. When I was a child, I had a yearning to be a classical pianist, but I found myself becoming a jazz singer.

I loved to draw, play make-believe, and play the piano as a child. I remember that when I was in my senior year of kindergarten, there was a costume parade based on the theme of my future dream, and I decided that I wanted to be a teacher at a daycare center. My mother made me an apron and puppet doll, and I walked around wearing a sun visor and a whistle. Who would have thought that 15 years later I would be working in the same place, as a teacher...!

Hello! Thank you for having me. I am Japanese, but I lived in Taiwan for 6 years when I was a kid. Thanks to that experience, I am very interested in languages, and now I am working as a Japanese Tutor here at Cafetalk. I try to make Japanese language lessons fun and interesting for my students. In my conversation lessons, I use my own material to help students learn about real spoken Japanese and about Japanese culture and society.

Actually, all of my lessons are created based on individual requests from my students. So I would recommend all of them, but the "Conversation and Grammar" lessons are the most popular. In this lesson, you will practice turning the grammar you “know" into grammar you can “use", while aiming to improve your conversational skills.

Hi, thanks for having me. I was born and raised in Osaka. Watching many Korean tv dramas, I took interest in the language and started studying Korean. I had been learning Korean from many tutors and friends, which I'm very grateful for. So at some point I felt inspired to help others who are studying languages - and I decided to become a Japanese tutor!
