Hello. nice to meet you.
I teach international students at a Korean language institute in South Korea. I studied Japanese as I wanted to teach Korean in an even better way to Japanese students.
I have taught various types of lessons including private lessons, group lessons, TOPIK preparation, beginner levels, intermediate level conversations, advanced level conversations, business conversations, and writing. I started teaching online as I wanted to meet a more diverse range of students.
Before becoming a Korean language tutor, I used to teach English to junior high and high school students in South Korea for over 10 years, while also working as a freelance voice actor. I am particularly good at narration, as my pronunciation is very accurate so I speak flawless Korean. Since I have worked as a voice actor, I can also help by acting. I will explain things in a way that all of my students can understand more easily ^^ I believe that even by just listening to me can be very helpful for your studies.
I enjoy many hobbies. I have interests in a variety of fields, ranging from studying, performances, TV dramas, books, history, traveling, handicrafts, coffee, to photography and exercise. I particularly enjoy working out, especially hiking and swimming, and I also practice yoga. If you have the opportunity to visit South Korea, I would love to introduce you to a special place with a beautiful night view of Seoul. I believe that by having interests in various fields, it allows me to have a more fulfilling conversations with all of you.
I used to do quilting and embroidery for a while, but I’ve recently gotten into knitting. This winter, I knitted three sweaters. I also learned how to do traditional Korean knotting as I wanted to introduce Korean culture to people from abroad, and if given the opportunity, I would like to experience Korean knot crafts together with all of you.
I believe that listening carefully is the most important thing to help learners enhance their skills. I will listen attentively to what my students have to says and ask appropriate questions to ensure that everyone can speak and participate comfortably in the lesson. Let’s practice Korean in a comforting and enjoyable way!
