Hello!
I am a native English speaker from the United Kingdom, currently living in in the north of England in Britain.
I love books, libraries, and language learning.
I have been teaching English on Cafetalk for seven and a half years!
Over the years, I have learnt other languages myself, German, Latin, and Old English, which I believe gives me an insight into the challenges which students face. In my spare time, I enjoy translating the languages which I have learnt. I have a TEFL/TESOL qualification on teaching English as a foreign language.
I have lived in different parts of Britain, from Scotland to Oxfordshire, and I enjoy being outdoors, and exploring the countryside wherever I am living. I like birds and animals and traditional British cookery.
If you would like to chat but cannot think of a topic, then my lessons on British food and cookery are perfect for that!
One of my popular lessons is reading books with students, English literature: light This is a nice way to practise English, following a story with somebody over a period of time.
I can also help with practical English phrases suitable for a wide variety of social situations.
Please note, I only offer lessons to adult students. Lessons are never recorded.
I have some students who prefer not to use the video camera. If this is the case, then just ask!
