Hyunwoo 讲师的个人介绍
Hello. I’m Hyunwoo, a Korean language tutor.
I currently live in South Korea, and I majored in computer engineering in college. I’ve always been interested in the Japanese language and culture, and I’ve been studying Japanese consistently ever since. I’ve also traveled to various cities in Japan and experienced the joy of conversing directly with the locals.
Through these experiences, I developed a deep interest in learning and teaching languages, which led me to pursue a career in Korean language education. Recently, I completed a Korean language teacher training program and am working hard to further enhance my expertise.
1. Teaching using correct, standard Korean and pronunciation
Since I was born and raised in Seoul, I am able to conduct lessons using natural, standard Korean, and accurate pronunciation.
When studying on your own, it’s often difficult to correct your own pronunciation or unnatural expressions. In my lessons, I carefully check your pronunciation, intonation, and sentence structure to help you speak Korean more naturally.
2. Conducting conversation-focused lessons
My lessons are conversation-focused.
While incorporating listening, speaking, writing, and vocabulary learning in a well-balanced way, I place particular emphasis on “speaking skills.” I encourage students to use the expressions they learned in my lessons frequently and help them speak Korean more naturally through a variety of conversation exercises. I place great importance on helping students experience the “joy of being understood” through real-life communication.
3. Systematic learning with original materials
Lessons are conducted systematically using my original teaching materials.
By following the sequence of the materials, students can learn vocabulary, grammar, conversation, and writing in a well-balanced manner. I prioritize building a “solid foundation” over speed and guiding students so they can steadily improve their skills.
4. Homework after every lesson
There will be a brief homework assignment after each lesson.
Students can review what they’ve learned through writing exercises using the grammar and expressions covered in the lesson, as well as vocabulary quizzes, and I provide feedback on their writing. Through continuous review, we help students naturally improve their skills.
Additionally, since I’ve passed the JLPT N2, I can provide explanations in Japanese for beginner-level learners.
