Hello! I am Tutor T.
For over 20 years, I have worked as an English teacher in private junior high schools and high schools. I have gained extensive experience primarily at preparatory schools in the Kansai region, and have taught students at five different schools in both Japan and abroad, including a Japanese supplementary school in Germany (where I continue to work as a teacher). In addition, I also hold teaching licenses for junior high school social studies and high school geography and civics, and can teach a wide range of subjects.
Guidance Experience and Strengths
- Interview Preparation for University Entrance Exam with Recommendations: After fully understanding what type of prospective student the university is looking for, I have advised my students on how to become that type of student, how to effectively demonstrate their passions, and how to conduct successful research. Many of my students have been accepted to the schools of their choice.
- EIKEN Interview Guidance: From my own experience taking the EIKEN examinations, and eventually obtaining Level 1, I can provide study guidance according to each level. I can provide appropriate advice on what kind of skills are required, especially in interviews.

- Area of Expertise: Having majored in education and psychology at both university and graduate school, I am capable of teaching according to the learner’s personality and learning style. Above all, I offer classes that incorporate a psychological approach to improve my student’s motivation and learning efficiency.
- Experience Studying Abroad: After graduating from high school, I studied abroad at universities in the U.S. and Germany, and have a deep understanding of the importance of cross-cultural understanding and language learning.
- Japanese Language Education: I was in charge of junior high school Japanese language classes at a Japanese supplementary school in Germany, as well as working as a Japanese language teacher for local European students.
Practical and Flexible Lessons at Home
I am currently raising my own children, one who is in elementary school and another who is in kindergarten, and I am seeing delightful results and making new discoveries every day. My 5-year-old son has already passed Eiken Level 4 and is studying for Level 3, and my 9-year-old daughter recently passed Eiken Level pre-2, and she is excited about passing Level 2 by the time she reaches 6th grade. She is very excited and says, “I’m going to pass the second level by sixth grade!”
I will also use this experience raising my own child to provide flexible and fun lessons. Through customized lessons tailored to each student’s needs, my hope is to foster their motivation, give them a sense of direction and exploration, and most importantly, a passion for connecting with people around the world.
