My name is Suja. I am a qualified and experienced English teacher and curriculum specialist with TESOL certification, IELTS teacher training, and CELPIP certification. (My verified qualifications are on my profile.)

I have been teaching conversational and written English and IELTS online for several years now. I  have lived and worked in Singapore, the UK, and Australia where I worked in both the chemical and pharmaceutical industry and in the education sectors.


Over the years, I’ve helped many learners achieve their goals — from succeeding in their language proficiency tests to performing confidently at job and university interviews, and also handling communication well at the workplace.

My lessons are interactive, supportive, and results-focused. Whether you want to speak more fluently in a casual setting and naturally, expand your vocabulary to feel more confident, or whether you want to achieve your target score in IELTS, TOEFL or EIKEN, I will guide you step by step through our practice sessions with proven strategies, techniques and personalized feedback.

 

I also offer a comprehensive English curriculum designed to strengthen your speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills — especially for real-life and workplace communication. In my classes, you’ll learn to express your ideas clearly, use vocabulary that fits the context, and gain the confidence to speak naturally in any situation.

I am also happy to customise classes for those of you who have specific learning objectives. Please let me know if this is what you want. 




How do I sound?

I speak with a clear accent and will adjust my pace of speech, if you are a beginner so that you understand me. 

My focus will be on what is important for you , which is to ensure that you achieve your goals effectively and keep up with language practice.

What do I do outside of work?

I love to sketch urban landscapes, and catch cultural theatreworks. Like most people, I enjoy travelling too and have visited several countries across the years. I am an active member of various urban sketching groups and we meet regularly to sketch plein air (outdoors).
