Welcome!
My name is Patricia, and I’m a native Spanish teacher based in Madrid. I teach Spanish to beginners and intermediate learners*, and I also offer friendly conversation sessions on any topic that interests you :)
I’m certified to teach Spanish as a foreign language (ELE) by the University of Barcelona and International House School. I also have degrees in Journalism and Literary Theory. I love writing and have published novels and short stories collections.
In my classes, we’ll learn Spanish grammar and usage, but most importantly, we’ll practice it. We’ll use a digital book (which I provide, so you don’t need to buy anything) and combine my explanations with practical exercises and real-life materials to help you improve your reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.
In case you're looking for conversation classes, I will provide you with the topic and vocabulary we will work on before each session, although we will also leave room for the conversation to flow naturally.
We’ll use Spanish as much as possible during lessons, but I can also speak English if needed.
Creating a safe space where my students feel comfortable practicing and making mistakes is very important to me. Mistakes are great because they help us learn and improve :)
