A little about me:
Hello everyone! I'm Mary. I grew up in California and lived there for most of my life, so I’m very familiar with American culture. Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time outdoors doing activities like hiking, snorkeling, and snowboarding. I also love learning about different cultures and languages.

Teaching Style:

I like to keep my classes engaging, interactive, and enjoyable so students stay motivated and confident while learning. I truly love teaching and enjoy seeing my students improve and gain confidence in using English. It’s such a rewarding feeling when my students learn, and teaching is something I’m genuinely passionate about!

Education, Qualifications, and Experience:

I am a graduate of Anthropology and Communication. I am also TESOL, TEFL, and TEYL certified. I’ve been teaching English for about 12 years and have worked with students from a wide range of ages and backgrounds. My students range from young learners around 8 years old to adults in their 70s, so I’m very comfortable adjusting my teaching style to suit different age groups. I’ve taught students from many countries, including Japan, Korea, China, Europe, and South America. Currently, I am also helping some of my students prepare for their TOEFL and CELPIP exam.

My Lessons:

My teaching experience includes traditional classroom settings, private tutoring, advanced test prepartion, and online ESL instruction. Over the years, I’ve developed a large collection of ESL materials and resources that help make my lessons practical, engaging, and easy to understand. Whether your goal is to improve your conversational skills, prepare for exams, or simply enjoy learning English, I’m here to guide and support you every step of the way.
