My name is Clyde, and I’m from South Africa. I’m currently an English major at Sol Plaatjie University. As a teacher, my goal is to make each lesson more enjoyable and engaging than the last. I enjoy working with people of all ages, backgrounds, and cultures, as it makes the learning experience richer and more meaningful.

 

Outside of teaching, I’m passionate about theatre acting. This has helped me build strong communication skills, creativity, and confidence—qualities I bring into my lessons to make them interactive and expressive.

Teaching background:
I have taught English both in classrooms and online since 2022. During practical training, I delivered lessons to secondary learners, focusing on reading, grammar, and speaking skills and online EsL Teaching, where I worked with students of different ages and cultural backgrounds. My lessons cover conversational fluency, pronunciation, and professional English.

Teaching style:
I am a friendly, patient, and supportive teacher who believes learning should be enjoyable. I know that every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to fit your level, interests, and goals. Whether you are learning English for daily life, travel, study, work, or exams, I will guide you step by step and give you the confidence to succeed.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor of Education (in progress, majors in English, History, Social Sciences)

  • 120-hour TEFL Certificate

  • Online teaching experience

  • Classroom teaching experience

  • Free talk (casual conversation for fluency)

  • Pronunciation and reading practice

  • English for daily life and travel

  • Business English and interview preparation

  • Fun English for kids (ages 6–12)

  • IELTS/TOEFL and school exam preparation

  • Voice and Acting in English (special lesson for performance training)
