Dr Pierce 講師的自我介紹

I am a Ph.D. Cultural Anthropologist with over 25 years of experience in teaching, research, and mentoring in universities, professional settings, and intensive field programs. My work has taken me across the U.S., Latin America, and internationally, guiding projects in public health, tourism, community development, and cross-cultural communication.

You don’t need perfect English to work with me — just curiosity and motivation. I’ve worked with students from all over the world, and together we’ll build your project and your confidence in English. Every session is an opportunity to enhance your skills and make meaningful progress toward your goals.

My available times are posted in my time zone UTC-5 / Cancun

I work with:

High school and university students who want to excel in research-based projects such as the IB Extended Essay, Internal Assessments, or undergraduate thesis work. I guide you step-by-step in choosing a topic, designing research, analyzing findings, and presenting your work with clarity and confidence.

Professionals and lifelong learners who want to strengthen their understanding of cultural dynamics, social theory, and research methods, or explore real-world issues through an anthropological lens. This could be for workplace application, community projects, or personal intellectual growth.

Whether you are preparing for a high-stakes academic project, refining your professional communication, or simply wanting to explore a complex social issue in depth, I offer targeted lessons, practical frameworks, and clear feedback to help you achieve your goals. My approach is interactive, adaptable, and focused on making ideas applicable in real life.

I have taught at universities in the United States and internationally, including courses in cultural anthropology, social theory, ethnographic methods, and medical anthropology. My students have gone on to publish in peer-reviewed journals, present at academic conferences, and apply their skills in professional and community projects.

In addition to academic teaching, I work with business leaders, NGO staff, and professionals from many fields, helping them strengthen their research, cross-cultural communication, and presentation skills. I specialize in guiding IB Diploma students through their Extended Essay and Internal Assessment projects, as well as coaching professionals who want to apply anthropological thinking to real-world challenges.
