Hello everybody!
My name is James
I am here to guide you in your English learning journey!
I am from South Africa and speak English as my native tongue.
Learning a new language can be a challenge adventure, but that is what I am here for, to assist you on that journey!
I have many years experience in teaching English, both in person and online.
I am confident that by choosing me as your English Teacher, you will be both excitied and rewarded!
I did most of my schooling in the United States of America (ages 12-22) and was raised in a British famaily.
I studied literature, philosophy and psychology. I also have a level 5 TEFL diploma.
I have over 20,000 lessons accumulated in my teaching history with students aged 7 - 79 years old. (Some with advanced English, whilst some are only able to say two or three words!)
What makes me ꜱᴘᴇᴄɪᴀʟ?!? (a very good question)
Well, I have a love for people, a SMILE that never leaves my face and an unwavering patience with each student. I am creative, passionate and kind!
My interests other than teaching English include hiking in the mountains, spending many hours soaking in the sun on the beach and running!
My specialties: grammar, pronunciation, natural conversational development, casual conversation, discussion, homework, test prep, interview practice and listening/comprehension,
I believe that some of my best assests are my enthusiasm, motivation, love for learning with experience and the SMILE that seems to have a permanent position on my face!
Lastly and, I believe most importantly, FREE CONVERSATION. This is the most vital and helpful ability in extending your English speaking level and understanding of everyday natural conversation.
***I could not even take a guess as to how many hours of free conversation I have had with students (with a wide array of topics)***
