Hey there, I'm Teacher Sarah – an English tutor on a mission to make you wield the language like a pro. Let's make English your lifestyle, one witty phrase at a time!

As your English Tutor, my primary objective is to empower you with confidence for effective communication in all situations. I will guide you in enhancing your English reading, writing, grammar, speaking, and listening skills.
 
I am TEFL certified and have been teaching English online to students of all levels and age groups (from absolute beginner to proficient, 3 to 60+ years old, from Japan and China).
 
I hold a Communication Arts degree with a major in Writing and am also proficient in the field of Digital Marketing. In addition to teaching, I love to travel and have interests in diving, and hiking, and can be a couch potato when binge-watching movies all night, so we can talk about pretty much anything under the sun.

I adapt my teaching methods to suit your specific requirements and enhance your English language skills effectively.
  • Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) - I will focus on teaching through conversation, role-plays, and practical language use to help you become fluent speakers.
  • Direct Method - I will primarily use English for instruction, avoiding translation. This method emphasizes immersion and encourages you to think in English.
  • Total Physical Response (TPR) - I will use physical actions and gestures to teach vocabulary and commands, making it an effective method, especially for beginners and young learners.
  • Situational Language Teaching - My lessons are organized around common everyday situations. You will learn language related to specific contexts, making it practical for real-life situations.
  • Role-Playing and Simulation - I use role-plays and simulations to help you practice real-life communication scenarios, such as job interviews, ordering in a restaurant, or negotiating in business situations.

I create a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere to empower you to express yourself and build confidence in English. My classroom is an inclusive, safe space that embraces students of all backgrounds, beliefs, and identities, regardless of gender, sexuality, or cultural perspective.
