To all of you who have been studying Mandarin for a long time,
Do you know the meanings of recent Mandarin slang terms like “好解” and “暈船?”
Well then, let’s give it a try!
What do the following three sentences mean?
1、這堂課很涼，我超推。
2、他暈船很久了啦，說什麼都聽不進去。
3、我看脆上說這間店大杯微微很紅，要不要點來喝？
Nice to meet you. My name is Shizu. I currently live in Taipei and am a senior-year student at the Japanese Language Department at Fu Jen Catholic University.
While talking with my international student friends at university, I realized something.
Even after many people become fluent in Mandarin, they still have one concern.
That is…
There are just too many Mandarin buzzwords and newly coined terms!
While commercially available textbooks may be accurate in terms of grammar and vocabulary, the phrases can sometimes sound a bit unnatural when used in real-life conversation.
