About me

Hi! I’m Chloe, a professional English teacher from the UK. I was born and raised in Surrey, England, but now live in Ehime, Japan.


As a language learner myself, I understand the struggles that come with learning and speaking a foreign language. I’ve been learning languages myself for over 10 years, and am currently studying Japanese, Korean and French. 


Besides learning languages, my other hobbies include reading, drawing, listening to music and exploring new places! I love visiting shrines and temples in Japan and collecting goshuin. I also have a rescue cat called Moka.


My experience

I completed my TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) qualification and started teaching English online in July 2024. Since then, I have worked with students from different backgrounds with varying language levels, and continue to learn more about teaching so I can provide the best lessons possible!


I have also completed certificates in Teaching Business English and English Pronunciation and am currently participating in additional teaching courses.


Lessons with me

In my lessons, I create a friendly and comfortable environment where you are free to make mistakes and ask questions. That’s all part of the learning process! If you are struggling to express yourself, I can help you with natural phrases to sound more fluent. All learners from beginner to advanced level are welcome!


I provide personalised lessons for each student, based on your goals and interests. We can cover grammar and vocabulary, as well as reading, writing, speaking and listening. Please check the lesson pages for more information on the lessons I offer. 


Lessons I offer (25 minutes, 50 minutes and lesson packs available):

  • Conversation practice - free conversation, we can discuss a specific topic or just see where the conversation takes us!
  • Reading news and discussion - talking about current events and topics that interest you using a news article as a basis.
  • Book club - reading a popular book in English to learn new words and expressions, and discuss the themes and topics.
  • British pronunciation - using a variety of techniques to practice and improve your English pronunciation

After request is confirmed (fixed)

  • Less than 12hours before lesson start time.→ 100% of price charged.
  • Between 12-24hours before lesson start time.→ 50% of price charged.
  • No-Show→ 100% of price charged.
