Hello! My name is Bianka, and I am Japanese and English teacher and interpreter.
I hold a B.A. in Japanese Language and Literature, an M.A. in Aesthetics of Japanese Gardens, and I am currently pursuing Doctoral Studies in Japanese Cultural Heritage. In addition, I have earned the N2 Level of the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) and a Cambridge University Certificate in Advanced English (CAE).
I have been living in the USA for 10 years now working as a Japanese medical interpreter.
My experience as an English teacher to Japanese students includes working with AICT English School and BIBO International, where I tailored lessons to Japanese learners’ specific needs. Teaching English in Japanese has allowed me to bridge linguistic gaps and help students gain confidence in their language skills.
As a scholarship student of Japan Foundation, I had the opportunity to experience Japanese culture in person and deepen my knowledge about language. My hobbies are yoga and gardening, and I also love travelling and learning new languages.
I love teaching English to Japanese learners because I understand the unique challenges they face—from pronunciation differences to cultural nuances in communication, therefore my goal is to create a supportive, engaging, and culturally aware learning environment that makes English both accessible and enjoyable.
I love teaching, itreally makes me happy, and I would love to spread the love for language to the students as well. I hope to empower Japanese students to confidently express themselves in English, whether for travel, business, or personal growth.
