【About Myself】
My name is Seo, and I was born and raised in Seoul.
I studied English literature at university. I loved musicals so much that I even worked for several years as a staff member for a theater company: If you need help with English, I can help you with that as well, so please don’t hesitate to contact me.
I have been living in Japan for 7 years, and out of those years, I lived in Kagoshima for 4 years.
Ironically, I became interested in K-dramas and K-POP after leaving South Korea. Once I get home from work, I spend most of my time on YouTube, to the extent that my family calls me a “YouTube-addict.”
I started studying Japanese when I discovered my love for Japanese comedy. Because I studied on my own, I understand the frustration of learners who have been studying Korean on their own. Although we speak different languages, I would like to provide the appropriate support to help you with that itch.
【Teaching Method】
I plan on proceeding with the lessons in accordance to your requests.
You can use existing materials or I can prepare materials upon request.
*Please try to use materials that are not written in katakana but rather in romanized form. If you are accustomed to reading in katakana, you will have to correct your pronunciation later on, so it would be best to learn with an eye toward natural pronunciation from the very beginning.
【In Conclusion】
I have now been studying Japanese for over 10 years. Even though Korean and Japanese have a lot in common, it takes a lot of time and effort to reach a certain level of proficiency. It is important to learn and practice diligently every day, even if it is only 10 minutes a time. Let’s work hard together! I will support you with all my strength, and I look forward to working with you:)
