Hello everyone! I’m Janie, a language tutor who enjoys teaching Chinese in a enjoyable way.
When I was working in Japan, volunteer teachers kindly taught me Japanese for free.
Encouraged by their warm goodwill, I began wanting to “return this favor”
by similarly using a gentle approach to share the charm of Chinese with more of my international friends.
I’m from Qingdao, Shandong Province, and I’ve been working as a Chinese language tutor for over six years since graduating from Beijing University of Geosciences.
I handle everything from one-on-one private lessons to online group lessons,
and I hold an elementary school teaching license along with a Level 1 B Grade Mandarin proficiency certificate.
I’m skilled at explaining difficult grammar and vocabulary with practical, everyday examples.
My teaching style emphasizes “warmth & practicality” and is tailored to each learner’s level and goals, whether it’s for traveling, daily conversation, test preparation, or other needs.
You can learn comfortably through situational conversation practices and simple interactive games.
We’ll share goals beforehand, and I’ll encourage you to speak more during the lessons,
while providing individual practice exercises and feedback afterward.
