ReZA (Rīza)
Japanese Language Tutor & Counselor (Essential Mind Trainer)
<1> ReZA as a Japanese Language Tutor
My Japanese lessons are for intermediate to advanced level learners (those who can hold everyday conversations in Japanese).
Explanations are generally given entirely in Japanese, but supplementary explanations in English or Korean are also available if necessarily.
■ Keigo (Using my original textbook)
Learn the essence of Japanese honorifics, humble, language and polite language to confidently use them in any situation and with any person.
■ Interview & presentation preparation
Receive tailored coaching and mock practice for interviews, presentations, speeches, and more, based on your goals.
■ Pronunciation & writing feedback (non-realtime assistance)
Get detailed feedback on submitted audio or written work to support your self studies.
Keigo isn’t just a form of formal Japanese speech—it’s an expressive technique for conveying nuanced feelings.
Mastering it allows you to communicate your thoughts and emotions politely yet effectively, even in situations requiring calm discussions.
<2> ReZA as a “Kokugo” Tutor
In my Kokugo lessons, I nurture reading comprehension, summarization, and expressive skills tailored to each stage—from elementary students to adults.
■ For elementary school studentsBy clearly distinguishing between explanatory texts and narrative texts and fostering an attitude of actively seeking information, I help students gain confidence in thinking, “I can read any text” and “I want to read more.”
■ For adults
I provide lessons that develop information organization and communication skills, including reading comprehension, summarization, and memo-training. While I offer textbooks and lessons on honorifics for non-native speakers, I also encourage native Japanese speakers who wish to refine their honorific usage to take advantage of these resources.
Kokugo (Japanese language) isn’t about intuition - it’s a logical subject like solving puzzles. By keeping the secret (yet simple!) rules of reading and writing in mind and practicing repeatedly, anybody can make it their strong suit.
When reading comprehension develops, you don’t just become able to read the text - you gain the ability to calmly grasp things, organize your thoughts, and verbalize them.
Once mastered, these “literacy skills” will become your powerful ally for life!
<3> ReZA as a Counselor
I currently work as a trainer for “Essential Mind,” a program focused on strengthening self-control.
When you feel “vaguely unsettled” or “stuck in a mental loop”—that’s precisely the moment to harness the “power of articulation.”
In my sessions, we will carefully unravel your emotions and thoughts one by one, clarifying “what do you truly want?” and “what’s holding you back?”
With my background as a Japanese language tutor, I’ll refine your “mental fog” into clarity—using precise vocabulary and nuanced expression.
My book, “Essential Diary,” is a fill-the-blank style workbook that even beginners can approach with confidence. It has been well received by those who struggle with self-reflection or self-questioning, as simply writing helps organize both your mind and soul.
Having personally overcome challenges such as postpartum depression, divorce, and career uncertainty, I can empathize with many people’s feelings.
“Organizing your soul through words” — I hope you will experience this power for yourself and ultimately master it.
【ReZA’s Commitment】
“I understand what you’re saying, but...“
”That’s perfectly reasonable, however...“
”You were able to do it because it’s you...”
Have you ever felt this way?
I myself have felt that frustration before during my own learning and self-improvement journey.
That’s precisely why I am committed to teaching methods that anyone can replicate. Through consistent training, you can aim to “graduate from ReZA” in the not-too-distant future.
Until that time comes, as a counselor, I will empathetically support you with keen observation so that you can genuinely feel, “I get it!” and “I did it!”
