Jack in Japan 讲师的个人介绍
I am a tutor on CafeTalk because really, 100% - I love meeting people.
I have had years of teaching experience - children to elderly people.
I can tailor any of my lessons to suit anyone. I am the best listener.
Whether you like a friendly chat or want to concentrate on the 4 skills - reading, listening or speaking and writing I can provide a suitable lesson.
My best and favourite memories of teaching English are in Fujisawa, Kanagawa, in the 2000s when I enjoyed teaching small groups of mostly women who were usually middle-aged and charming. We also met occasionally for lunches and dinner in the evenings.
I'm English and from Newcastle in the North of England.
I have travelled and lived in several countries, including Germany - serving in the Royal Air Force.
I spent 12 years in New Guinea working for the government.
I spent a few years in Fujisawa teaching English at a language school and for companies such as Toshiba, and I have fond memories of group meetings.
I currently live in Katsuura, a small but lovely town in the south of Japan, where the neighbours have been very welcoming.
I have a Masters in Education, a Cambridge CELTA qualification and have many years of experience teaching English.
I enjoy keeping myself in shape through yoga and meditation, as well as having a love of music and ballroom dancing. I have children and grandchildren in Australia.
Most importantly to me, I have a wonderful Japanese wife, to whom I have been married for 25 years.
I hope to see you in one of my lessons.
