General Notices

Hello! I’m Anna, your Korean Tutor.

I am currently working as a Florist in Canada. Living abroad and meeting diverse people through my craft has deepened my appreciation for my identity as a 'native Korean' and my love for the language. Now, I want to channel that passion into becoming your dedicated Korean learning mate.

  • Certified Event Florist

  • Completed Professional Sexual Violence Counselor Training Course (Suwon Women's Hotline)

  •  Completed specialized training (1 year of service at a Community Care Center)

My Passions

  • Books & Phrases: I am a true bibliophile. When I travel to a new city, I always visit local bookstores and enjoy "Book-stays" (literary retreats).

  • The Power of Recording: Decorating my diary is my oldest habit. I’m so serious about stationery that I’ve even taken "stationery trips" to Japan! ✍️

  • Flowers & Vases: My current "small but certain happiness" is arranging flowers in vintage vases I find at thrift shops. I’d love to show them to you during our lessons!

I dream of a classroom where we don’t just study a language but also share our tastes and daily lives.

My Background

While I am new to professional Korean tutoring, I deeply understand the frustration of learning a new language, as I have spent years mastering English as a tool for communication.

Moreover, I spent 4 years at an education company as a Consulting Manager and Journal Coach. I’ve guided numerous students toward their goals and developed a keen sense of identifying exactly what a learner needs to succeed.

Lastly, I have completed Professional Counselor Training (at Suwon Women’s Hotline). This allows me to lead objective and professional discussions on sensitive or profound topics such as human rights, gender, and social power structures in Korea. (Completed specialized training and 1 year of service at a Community Care Center at GBC)

I can empathize with you from a learner's perspective while pinpointing exactly what you need to advance. I'm here to help you learn efficiently and comfortably!

    • Tutor’s Pick: Ready to start immediately! (Message me for a curated list by level/topic.)

    • Student’s Pick: Requires at least 48 hours for preparation. (E-books or titles available on 'Millie’s Library' only.)

3. Ask Me Anything (Listening, Speaking)

  • From Korean life tips and personal concerns to etiquette and social dynamics—ask me anything you’ve found difficult to ask others!

  • Strictly non-judgmental. My classroom is an absolute safe space. As a trained counselor, I listen to every story with an open heart.

4. Sparkle Chat: Quick Conversation (Listening, Speaking)

  • A light and fun short-time session to recharge your daily energy. Perfect for when you want to increase your speaking time with casual topics.

? Special Service for Regular Students: Daily diary writing assignments with meticulous feedback provided outside of class hours!

Who is this for?

  • A2 Learners: You can read Hangeul but struggle to form sentences. (English-assisted lessons available!)

  • Up to C1 Learners: You want to use natural, sophisticated expressions like a native.

What is the one thing you want to say most in Korean? Without a clear motivation, language learning is hard to finish. I believe your skills improve fastest when you struggle to voice "your own true story" in Korean.

As your warm Korean friend and "pace-maker," I will be by your side throughout this journey. Shall we cross the finish line together?

See you in class!
