Hello!
I am Miss Teresa. A teacher from the United States. I am a bilingual speaker of English and Spanish and have worked within the education field for over ten years.
My Education/ Certifications:
- Bachelor of Science: English & Literature and Counseling
- Montessori Early Childhood Teaching Credential
- TESOL and TEFL Certified
I have taught both children and adults and presently I work within my local school district.
Previously I have worked as a Primary Lead Teacher, Children’s ESL teacher, and Adult ELL teacher.
My teaching style focuses on learning the important foundations needed to build upon when learning a new language. Truly comprehending vocabulary and how to utilize it in everyday life effectively. I adapt my lessons to meet each of my student's learning styles and pace. Learning comes through practice and dedication.
In my lessons, I introduce a lot of vocabulary, provide speaking and listening practice, and create a learning environment where my students feel comfortable learning. I find it very rewarding to see my students grow in confidence as they learn.
I love teaching and talking with people from around the world.
I also enjoy learning new languages and about various cultures. I would love to be part of your language-learning experience. I would do my best as a teacher to help you progress in learning English.
My interests:
I enjoy writing, reading poetry/comics/novels watching movies/theater, Listening to music, and traveling.
