Mr. JD 講師的自我介紹
ABOUT ME: Hello there, I'm John from Florida and currently living in Colombia. I have been an english teacher for over 6 years now and love to do so! I have had the great experience of trying to learn a couple of languages, and in this process I have been able to understand what a student needs in order to learn, and through these experiences I have been able to apply this to my teaching style.
I have completed TEFL/TESOL courses so that I can better help my students to understand the language, regardless of the language that they speak; and this combined with my experience of teaching over twenty thousand (20.000) students online (from teenagers all the way to seniors), we can create an excellent relationship to improve your english skills.
INTERESTS: I have multiple hobbies like going to the gym, going on road trips, walking with my dog, learning languages and reading; but I also like spending some time doing things like playing videogames, watching movies, series, anime, listening to music and playing the guitar.
TEACHING STYLE:
My teaching style is tailored to the student. Because of my personality and experience, I am capable of adapting the teaching style, depending on the student.
Here are some examples of what we could do:
- Conversation: We focus on practicing communication as much as we can, to keep fresh talking skills that are learned through conversation only. Here are some topics that we would see:
1. Casual-> daily life, likes and dislikes, hobbies, work, etc.
2. Serious-> Business, psychology, world issues, technology, etc.
- Grammar: We focus on learning the structures and exceptions to those structures that are important in order to form sentences in english at all different levels: from A1 all the way to C2.
CLASS GUIDE:
- LET ME HELP YOU: I recommend to take this lesson first if you do not know how to learn English or if you want to get to know me and my teaching style before we get into an actual class.
-LET'S GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER: You can take this class if you want to learn the basics of introductions.
- FREE TALK: Relaxed conversation with minimum corrections to focus on fluency and confidence.
-LET'S PRACTICE YOUR ENGLISH: Conversation practice but focused on correcting bad grammar habits.
