Hyangsugi 講師的自我介紹
Hello~ My name is Hyangsugi, and I have been studying Korean for 20 years. I have worked in the tourism and event industry in South Korea for 4 years. Currently, I have also worked as a tour guide and interpreter, and I have been teaching Korean for over 15 years.
My journey has been a bit unusual; I first moved to South Korea at a time when I couldn’t speak Korean at all—moreover, even my knowledge of hangul was dubious. Shortly after, I started working as an office worker in South Korea, so for me, practical experience came before I had studied more theoretically.
I believe that many of you, as you study Korean, want to do various things using the Korean you learned in the future. Whether it be traveling to South Korea or engaging in activities related to your favorite idols, I am sure that you all have many dreams. I would like to help you take steps toward achieving those dreams. You can definitely improve your Korean skills even without studying abroad. I would especially like to help learners solve their concerns and help those of you who are studying Korean for the first time or who are struggling at the intermediate level.
My full time job is working as a Korean interpreter. Since I often have opportunities to speak with people from China, the US, and European countries, I can also handle basic Chinese and English conversations. Of course, I am a native Japanese speaker.
I have around 15 years of experience as a Korean language tutor for offline lessons. Whether you want to study casually or more seriously, there is no wrong way to learn. I would like to work with you as if I were your friend and as a mentor. I am also good at conversations tailored to specific situations. I have a strong focus on tourism, hot springs, and railways, so I have prepared several lesson choices for you to check out.

◼️ For those learning Japanese
My “beginner” level lessons are conducted in Korean. Even if you don’t understand Japanese, you can take my lessons with confidence. As I assess the learner’s current skill level, I will gradually increase the proportion of Japanese used during the lesson. A trial lesson is also available, so please feel free to join me.
< Students I can teach >
Anyone from elementary school students and above are welcome in my lessons. People of any gender are welcome as well.
For elementary school children, the lessons will mostly be conversational. I recommend that a guardian accompanies them during the lesson.
As I mentioned earlier, one of my hobbies is learning languages, but if I had to add another hobby, I would have to say that I enjoy the sight of beautiful hanboks. If you have any questions about events at Korean companies or anything else you’re curious about, please feel free to ask me.
