Hi! My name is Simone, and I’m a certified TEFL teacher with a passion for education and creativity. I’ve taught a variety of subjects including English, Biology, Creative Arts, Life Orientation, Technology, and Social Studies. This is my eighth year in education, following four years at a private learning center and three years as a homeschooling tutor.

I’m dedicated to helping each student grow—not just academically, but socially, emotionally, and in their communication and motor skills. I believe in creating a supportive, engaging, and fun learning environment where students feel confident, encouraged, and excited to learn. I especially enjoy working with beginners, shy learners, and kids who thrive in a warm and creative space.

I usually teach with my camera on because I believe face-to-face connection helps build trust and makes lessons more interactive. That said, I respect your comfort—if you’d prefer to keep your camera off, that’s totally okay! We’ll still have a great time learning together.

Outside of teaching, I love hiking and exploring natural landscapes—especially with my camera in hand! I’m all about enjoying the little things and capturing the beauty of nature. I also enjoy going to live music concerts, crocheting, reading, watching anime (especially fantasy and slice-of-life series), and playing Dungeons & Dragons. And yes—I’m completely obsessed with Harry Potter! Whether it’s rereading the books, watching the movies for the hundredth time, or throwing around a few spells in casual conversation, I’m always ready for a little magic.

At home, I share my space with my quirky cat Charlie, who sports a tiny black mustache and loves to nap in the sun or chase shadows in the garden.
