Hello. I’m Miyong.
I’m from South Korea, but I’ve been living in Japan for 16 years.
After living in Kyoto and Kobe, I’m currently based in Hiroshima.
I completed a teacher training program at a university in South Korea,
where I focused on the importance of reading, thinking, and expressing oneself through writing.
I also have experience teaching Japanese and essay writing to junior high school students at a private tutoring school.
Since coming to Japan,
I’ve focused on the words and expressions used in real-life situations
through my daily interactions with Japanese speakers,
which are hard to grasp from textbooks alone.
Cooking and sharing meals have also been a vital way for me to learn about the language and culture.
Through my own experience as a Japanese language student,
I’ve seen firsthand how language flows and
connects people in everyday life in Japan.
I want to bring those insights into my own lessons to help you
master Korean so that you can actually use it in the real world.
Through these lessons, I’m looking for learners who would like to:
・Feel they’ve hit a wall studying on their own and are looking for a tutor
・Start or continue learning Korean at their own pace without burning out
・Focus on getting more experience speaking rather than focusing on being perfect
・Practice speaking in a relaxed environment where it’s okay to make mistakes
・Enjoy Korean through their own interests, like K-dramas, cooking, music, or traveling
・I can accommodate both “Korean only” and “with Japanese assistance” lesson styles
How my lessons work
We’ll focus on free-talking to give you plenty of speaking practice.
It’s perfectly fine if you get stuck or make mistakes.
I’ll help you rephrase things naturally and provide support in Japanese when
needed, as we go at your own pace.
If you’d like, I can also flexibly accommodate requests, including:
・Organizing grammar using textbooks (Sejong Hakdang, Dekiru Kankokugo, etc.)
・Conversation practice based on specific themes (cooking, traveling, dramas, etc.)
・Checking pronunciation and intonation
I truly value connecting with people,
find so much joy in teaching,
and absolutely love learning languages!
By bringing these three passions together,
I hope to create a fun and encouraging learning experience for everyone.
I look forward to learning with you!
In my daily life
I’ve long been enjoying the piano and choral music, both as a performer and an instructor.
Since moving to Japan, I’ve taken up the cello.
I enjoy my daily walks and swimming,
and I live my life surrounded by flowers and nature.

I’d be delighted to spend time learning together with you
in a cheerful and friendly atmosphere.
I’m really looking forward to meeting you!
