Hello everyone!
My name is Ruth, and I am an enthusiastic and dedicated English tutor. I hold a degree in Operations Research and Statistics and a TEFL certificate, and I have over 2 years of teaching experience. I began my professional journey a few months after graduating, working for three years as a Group Statistician at a distribution company.
In that role, I analyzed operational data, created reports, and provided insights to improve efficiency. This experience strengthened my attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills, all of which I bring into my teaching. Breaking down complex information into understandable steps and presenting it clearly to students is something I do naturally thanks to my analytical background.
I transitioned into teaching because I discovered my true passion lies in helping learners grow. I enjoy teaching learners of all ages, from children beginning their English journey to adults improving communication skills. With younger students, I make lessons interactive and fun using songs, flashcards, and games. For adults, I focus on practical skills, fluency, and confidence building, always adapting my lessons to meet each student’s goals.
In addition to teaching, I am an author of children’s books and a creator of educational busy books. Designing these resources has helped me understand how to engage learners creatively, make lessons hands-on, and simplify learning concepts in a way that is memorable and enjoyable.
Outside teaching, I also enjoy birthday décor and creating personalized party packs and coloring books,
which feeds my creativity and inspires me to make lessons both fun and meaningful.
My goal is to provide lessons that are supportive, engaging, and effective, helping students gain confidence and skills in English, whether for school, work, or everyday communication. I look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve your learning goals on Cafetalk!
