Steph C 讲师的个人介绍

Hi! My name is Steph and I'm a native English speaker from New Zealand. I have a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in English, and I've been working freelance in fields like writing, editing, and tutoring for over ten years. 

I'm super passionate about writing and reading, so if you're interested in talking about books or trying out some creative writing, I think we'll get along great! In my degree I wrote a lot of essays and research papers, so I'm always happy to help out with homework assignments too. If you just want to chat, I'm always up for a conversation practice to get to know each other and try out some common conversation topics.

I have had a TEFL certificate since 2017 that I earned to be able to travel the world and teach; currently I'm on a working holiday visa in Japan, working or volunteering in places like English Language Cafes to meet with locals and help them practice speaking English. 

I understand a little bit of Japanese but I'm still learning to speak it, so I understand how hard it can be to practice a new language! My aim is always to make students as comfortable as possible—we're friends here too, not just working together! Let me know if you have any preferences around audio and video, I'm always happy to accommodate.

If you've never had a conversation in English before, I understand how daunting it can be to sign up for one. Please feel free to send me a message and let me know, I will do my best to use very simple phrases and speak slowly, to make sure it's comfortable for you! If there's something you don't understand, we can always open a translator and figure it out together!
