I am highly motivated to teach the Finnish language and talk about Finnish culture to all who are interested in my home country. It is a difficult language, but I want to give support to all people who want to learn it. I am a very kind person who likes to help students in achieving their goals, whether they are learning a new language, learning about new cultures, or even planning on moving to another country! As I have experience in teaching Finnish to foreigners, I have a passion for truly providing high-quality lectures for those who are interested.
I have experience in teaching from different environments. My teaching career started as a junior floorball coach for 6 years in Finland. After that I was an NCO in Finnish Defence Forces during my military service time, meaning I prepared and held many lessons for privates. After that, I have been an international tutor for many semesters during my university studies. Nowadays, for many years, I have taught Finnish and English to Japanese people on similar platforms
With me, learning will be fun but also effective. The lessons appreciate all levels of Finnish skills, so don’t worry! My lessons will be mostly in English, but as I am studying Japanese at the moment I am more than happy to use the language as much as possible.
Please note that even though I offer separate important course topics here as lessons (Basic of Finnish - lessons), many of my students request tailored lesson topics like living, health and body, describing objects, phone calls, numbers and grammar lessons. So you are welcome to book my Finnish language lesson ''Basics of Finnish - Student topic requests'' and request a topic that is the most interesting for you. I can also help to choose the most important ones for you.
ABOUT ME
I am a 29 years old Finnish man. I am from the city of Oulu, but I live in Turku. I am currently working as a digital marketing specialist in a Finnish retail company.
I studied for MSc in economics at the university in international faculty. I have acquired good English language skills through my studies, therefore providing also English lessons in that language. I have also lived in Germany for two years. I speak a few languages: German, Swedish, and Japanese.
My hobbies are cycling and going to the gym. I also study Japanese a lot. I like to take photographs. I enjoy my free time by going out to restaurants with my friends. I also play drums and guitar, not forgetting my passion for singing.
Japanese culture is very interesting, so I want to live there one day. I have visited there once before. I planned on studying in Japan two years ago, but the situation prevented me from doing that. But that doesn't stop me from connecting myself to Japan and the Japanese people. This year I am searching for a job in Japan and that's why I study a lot of Japanese nowadays.
