Hello, my name is miki and I am from Taiwan.
Hello everyone! I am miki from Taiwan. I am a cheerful and upbeat person, and I love making friends. In 2012, I moved to Japan when I married a Japanese man. I currently live in Chiba prefecture, but I have also lived in Hokkaido and Yokohama for a while! I have been in Japan for 10 years now!
Having always loved Japan, I worked in the restaurant and fashion industry when I first came to Japan. I have a 7 year old child who speaks both Chinese and Japanese. When I first came to Japan, I learned the Japanese syllabary from zero and worked on my Japanese studies. This is why I know how hard it is for non-native speakers to learn a second language. I am also familiar with the differences between Chinese and Japanese. In my lessons, I will teach you grammar in an easier and more practical way and help you brush up your Chinese language skills!
About Myself
I am an outgoing person with a cheerful personality. I usually enjoy being outdoors a lot and I also love Japanese food and making friends! I enjoy camping, but I especially like to camp in Hokkaido! I am a person who enjoys living a relaxed life in the midst of nature. I often think about the differences between Japanese culture and Taiwanese culture in my daily life as well.
Teaching Experience
I have been teaching online since September 2021 and the total number of lessons has already exceeded 800 lessons (for 25 minute lessons). I have received many positive feedback and reviews from my students! Some of my students are hot spring inn managers, university professors, college students, pharmacists, manga assistants, expatriates, homemakers, mothers, kindergartners, elementary school students...etc.

Lesson Goals
My lessons are tailored to each student’s learning goals and language level. I understand the areas that Japanese speakers find difficult when learning Chinese. Lessons will be offered in Chinese, but explanations in Japanese are also available. For beginner level students, I will explain in Japanese, so there’s no need to worry if you don’t understand Chinese.
I will offer lessons with easy-to-understand content and correct Chinese pronunciation in mind. Students will be taught conversations that can be used in daily life to improve their Chinese language skills. Even beginners will be able to speak simple Chinese within a short period of time.
Course materials for adult students
We will mainly be using the “當代中文課程” as our main learning material, and students will be able to learn vocabulary, conversation, short sentences, grammar, discussion, etc. The course is suitable for anyone from beginner to advanced level. Through the course materials, students will be exposed to the basics of the Chinese language and learn about Taiwanese culture and place names. Depending on the content of the material, students will be introduced to Taiwanese culture and tourist attractions. Grammar learned in the lesson will be sent to you after the lesson as feedback.
Course materials for children
We will be using the “華語向前走課程,” for children to learn daily conversation, vocabulary, dialogues, and grammar. Using a variety of teaching materials, I encourage children to speak Chinese on their own through interesting lessons. Colorful images are used to motivate your child to help keep them motivated.
