Hi! I'm Elaine. I'm friendly, approachable, and genuinely enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds. One of the things I love most about teaching is getting to know my students while learning about their cultures, traditions, and everyday lives.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy DIY projects, home renovations, cooking, and traveling. Before becoming an English teacher, I worked in a variety of industries, including restaurants, fashion retail, insurance, and the corporate sector, where I handled customer support for U.S. and Australian telecommunications clients. These experiences have given me a broad perspective and make it easy for me to connect with students on a wide range of topics, creating conversations that feel natural, engaging, and meaningful.
I work remotely and can teach from anywhere with a stable internet connection. Whether it's through Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Google Meet, I'm always excited to meet new students. At the moment, I'm also pursuing my master's degree while developing a small weekend business—something I'm passionate about and enjoy working on in my free time.
I've been teaching English online for more than eight years, working with learners primarily from Japan, South Korea, Italy, Spain, France, and Germany, as well as students from Taiwan and Saudi Arabia. I hold a bachelor's degree in Psychology, I'm TEFL-certified, and I have a C2 level of English proficiency in grammar and listening. Throughout my teaching career, I've helped students of different ages and proficiency levels build confidence, improve fluency, and develop practical English skills for work, travel, study, and everyday communication.
I believe the best learning happens when students feel comfortable, encouraged, and genuinely enjoy the conversation. My goal is to create a relaxed and supportive environment where making mistakes is simply part of the learning process, and every lesson helps students become more confident English speakers.
