Hello and nice to meet you! My name is Kristen.
I have over 20 years of teaching experience and excel at teaching online! I'm TEFL and TESOL certified and love teaching English to adults to help them succeed in their goals. I'm also a published author of 19 children' books and serve as a literary editor for clients and companies around the world.
My educational background entails teaching English to adults when I worked as a HR manager for a leading global hotel company. I have also taught students of grades preK-12 from around the world online and in the public school sector.
In addition, I specialize in reading programs in public libraries in the US for all ages with my published children's books catering to themes of kindness. Lastly, I also teach adults how to publish their own children's books. I have also traveled extensively around the world and love learning about different cultures.
What can you expect from my lessons?
I'm a very patient, kind, and flexible tutor. I will accommodate the type of structured class delivery you prefer or just talk freely if you like.
When, I'm not working, I love sailing, biking, riding horses on my farm, hiking in nature, visting art museums, and reading. Most of all, I adore spending time in San Francisco where I can enjoy all types of cultures and cuisines. I enjoy visiting Japantown and collect "Lucky Cats" and Asian caligraphy horse and cat paintings. I love everything about the ocean and recently published a children's book about helping our oceans and seas.
Lastly, I studied in Valencia, Spain when I was learning Spanish. Therefore, I know what it is like to learn another language. I'm currently taking Japanese so I can better understand my students on here too. I'm an energetic teacher and have a very kind, gentle, and patient teaching style and manner.

I will customize your lesson to provide the skills necessary to reach your goal!
