Hello! I am Tamako, a jazz vocalist and pianist.
I am an active musician based in Niigata, Japan, and also perform live and at events in the Kanto area. I try to give lessons for beginners and experienced players alike, so that they can feel the fun and depth of music.

One-on-one lessons with a multilingual jazz & bossa nova singer!
1) Since I am a professional musician performing a wide range of genres, my lessons also cover a wide range of music such as jazz, bossa nova, Latin, pops, chanson and French pops.
(2) I am available for singing lessons and pronunciation instruction in a variety of languages. I graduated from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies and love languages I've studied English and many other languages for a long time. I can teach pronunciation from the unique perspective of a vocalist. I will listen to the sound source together with you to check how it sounds when it goes with the melody. Language lessons are also available.
(3) Since I am a jazz vocalist, I can give lessons not only on the original melody but also on scatting and faking. Scatting is a technique of improvising vocally like an instrumentalist's improvisation. Faking is a technique of singing a slightly rearranged version of the original melody.
(3) I am also a pianist, so I can give not only vocal lessons but also piano lessons like jazz piano lessons, and I also offer composition lessons. Vocalists who would like to try piano playing in the future are also welcome to come.

My name is Tamako. I perform mainly jazz vocal and piano in Niigata and Tokyo, Japan. I have been offering online lessons on Cafetalk since 2020.
I hope to share the joy of expressing through music with everyone.
All ages and experience are welcome, from children to adults!
I carefully instruct according to the pace and goals of each student.

Vocalist who sings mainly jazz and bossa nova, but also pops and chansons. Also plays piano and flute. Based in Niigata, but also active in the Kanto area. Her soft voice soothes listeners while expressing the world of her lyrics. In addition to English and Japanese, she also sings in Portuguese and French.
In her lessons, she teaches a wide range of students from beginners to professionals. She teaches a comfortable and easy vocal technique to perform with the body as a musical instrument, valuing the enjoyment of music above all else. Many students discover the charm of their original voice through vocal techniques suited to them.
She also uses her language skills to teach pronunciation in six languages. In addition to singing and pronunciation techniques, she also offers piano and composition lessons, staging, storytelling, and lyrics commentary. Her realistic advice, based on his experience as a performer herself, has been well received.
Perhaps because of her warm and friendly tone and caring nature, she is often asked for advice on matters other than music. Her motto is to support students as a whole, and she offers thorough tailor-made lessons based on careful counseling according to their needs.
