Hello! My name is Michael and, thanks to growing up on the west coast of the US and a few bicycling accidents, I tend to be pretty casual/easy going/relaxed. I am a writer (published novelist and playwright) currently living in France. I taught creative writing for a number of years at an art centre. I believe you should be in charge of what you learn and how you learn. I am simply an experienced guide to help you along your path. We’ll make a plan together and figure out how best to achieve your goals.

My hobbies/interests include, though are not limited to, cycling/bike racing (I have raced and toured.), wine/beer/bourbon/sake.... et cetera (I was a bartender for many years.), reading (mostly fiction, though occasionally a memoir or historical nonfiction. And I worked at the largest used bookstore in the world.), and movies (most anything, except horror). And, occasionally, I make some art and play ESO.
