　I started playing classical and jazz piano when I was 15 years old. When I was a university student, I was in charge of the piano in a jazz piano trio in my school’s popular music band. To learn about composition, I studied harmony and fugue with a teacher who graduated from the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. After graduating, I also worked in Tokyo presenting contemporary music compositions and working for a broadcasting company and arranging music for plays.
　I have been interested in solo jazz piano for the past 10 years and have performed about 60 jazz piano gigs.
My favourite jazz pianists are Keith Jarrett, Chick Corea, and Bill Evans.
　I currently run a jazz piano school where I teach jazz theory, how to improvise, how to make intros, and endings.
When I learn to play jazz piano, I felt great playing piano trio with bass and drums.
I am currently working on a minus one, so I’d like to incorporate this into my lessons.
　I want to grow together with my students through jazz music, which allows us to show each of our individuality.
