Hello! I’m Alice, originally from Taiwan, and I’ve been living in Japan for seven years now.
I love learning languages, cooking, watching movies, traveling, wine tasting, and fashion.
I especially enjoy red and white wine, Japanese sake, and whisky—I often plan my trips around local tasting experiences.
With red hair and tattoos, I may not look like your typical language teacher—but that’s exactly what makes my class unique :)
Because I love connecting with people from different cultures, I earned two certifications in teaching Mandarin and have been teaching for eight years, both online and in person.
My students come from Japan, Korea, the United States, and beyond. I focus on improving speaking and listening skills, and I always customize each lesson based on the student’s level and goals. I also love introducing fun and authentic aspects of Taiwanese culture.
As a passionate language learner myself—currently studying Japanese, Korean, German, and French—I truly understand the challenges that learners face. I teach from the learner’s perspective and aim to help you learn comfortably and effectively.
Besides teaching, I have diverse work experience:
After graduating from university, I worked as an executive assistant at a major corporation in Taiwan. In Japan, I’ve worked in food trading and fashion sales, and now I’m in charge of overseas business development at a company that organizes family-focused events and advertisements.
Due to my job, I travel back to Taiwan every month—so even though I live in Japan, I can always provide you with the freshest and most up-to-date local insights from Taiwan!
