Maho Ogawa
Pilates Instructor
Maho is a movement artist and Pilates practitioner originally from Japan. Having sustained repeated ankle sprains and lower back pain from dance training in childhood, she looked for a better way to use her body and found Pilates the most suitable for its functionality.
Maho is a Kane School graduate and has taught Pilates in Tokyo, Japan for 5 years and in New York since relocating in 2011. She teaches Pilates to both English and Japanese speaking clients while presenting her experimental performances at venues in New York and Japan. Maho has worked as an interpreter for Japanese Pilates teachers at Rebekah Rotstein's Buff Bonesworkshop in New York in 2017. She has experience working with conditions such as scoliosis, hip replacements, spinal fusion, and pre/post natal clients atEquinox West 92 St, elevate, the space pilates studio.Her private sessions are carefully tailored to individuals of any body type, age, and activity. She looks forward to sharing the delight of healthymovement through Pilates.
