I grew up learning and using both English and Arabic. From kindergarten, I attended English-language schools, had friends with whom I could only communicate in English, and, for several years, was taught by native English-speaking teachers. This early immersion helped me achieve near-native fluency in English, which I consider a second native language.
In addition to teaching English, I offer lessons in conversational Egyptian Arabic for students interested in learning this vibrant and widely spoken dialect.
**Feedback from my wonderful Japanese students**
A few years ago, I started volunteer teaching, helping Koreans and Germans learn English and Arabic online. As someone who loves languages, it was a fun and fulfilling way to spend my time while also making new friends. That experience made me realize just how much I enjoy teaching.
I discovered a passion for not only teaching itself but also for creating engaging lessons. This led me to pursue formal training, earn my teaching certification, and turn this passion into a full-time career—even though my academic background was initially in electrical and telecommunications engineering.
The environment in my classes is always fun and friendly. Although I primarily teach adults, I believe that making lessons interesting and engaging is just as important for adults as it is for children.
As you may notice, my current available slots are limited due to frequent changes in my schedule.
However, if the listed times don’t work for you, please feel free to send me a message. I’d be happy to coordinate a time that suits you.
Apart from teaching, I have a deep passion for
writing. I started writing fiction around the age of seven, and it’s been something I’ve loved ever since.
In 2018, I ventured into a different writing path by starting my own blog, where I write expository articles on various topics ranging from finance and business to health and lifestyle (
therayjourney.com). In 2019, I even published an
e-book on self-publishing and marketing.
Reading is another passion of mine, particularly mystery novels and classic literature, though I’m also an avid reader of non-fiction, exploring subjects like self-improvement and psychology. (I share weekly book recommendations here.)
Music holds a special place in my heart as well. I’ve been learning the piano for a few months now, and back in school, I used to play the violin.
I also enjoy sketching from time to time, even though I’m not great at it yet—I definitely need more practice!
A sketch inspired by Attack on Titan.
Languages are definitely one of my biggest interests too. I was fluent in German back when I was in school. A couple of years ago, I started learning Korean and made good progress, but unfortunately, after stopping for a while, I’ve forgotten most of it!
At the end of the day, my main passions are music, art, writing, and languages, so you’ll often find me immersed in one of those areas, always exploring and learning something new.
Do more of what makes you happy, right?
Oh, did I mention I love nature and traveling too?
