Hi everyone,
My name is Shinjini, and I have a diverse educational background that includes a Bachelor's degree in Dental Surgery, a Postgraduate Certificate in Climate Change, and a 150-hour TESOL certification from Arizona State University. In addition, I am an entrepreneur, a travel enthusiast (traveled to 25+ countries so far), an avid reader, and a lover of languages! My passion for teaching began in childhood when I enjoyed teaching my siblings and neighborhood children. As I grew older, I realized that teaching someone is more than just a pastime and that a non-judgmental teacher can significantly influence a learner's personality. My teaching style greatly involves games and competitions because I have observed that it creates a learning environment where a learner learns and performs the best. I also emphasize "trying" rather than always "being correct."
After completing my graduation, I volunteered with an NGO. My job involved creating English lesson plans for underprivileged non-English speaking children. This experience reignited my love for teaching and the English language, which was my favorite subject in school. Another reason why I chose to teach English is because of the class divide it creates in my home country and its significant global importance. It motivated me to pursue my TESOL certification and help individuals enhance their English language skills. I am a TESOL Educator at an international school in France, where I have been teaching for almost a year.
