Get to Know Me
I’m Assal, an experienced IELTS instructor with over 12 years of teaching English to non-native speakers. I hold a master's degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) and have a deep passion for helping students improve their English skills and achieve their language goals.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked with students of all proficiency levels, from beginners to advanced, focusing on speaking, writing, and preparing for exams such as IELTS. My teaching style is interactive and student-centered, aimed at boosting both fluency and confidence. I incorporate a variety of resources, including conversation practice, grammar drills, and exam preparation exercises, to keep lessons engaging and effective.
I have developed custom lesson plans tailored to individual learning styles and needs, focusing on specific areas of improvement, whether it’s pronunciation, vocabulary, or writing techniques. I take pride in tracking progress and providing continuous feedback to ensure every student stays on track.
I also have a background in working with students preparing for university exams and immigration applications, helping many achieve their goals with high scores and success in university admissions.

My Teaching Style
Every student is different, and I believe learning should be tailored to individual needs. My approach is practical, structured, and engaging, designed to help students use English naturally and confidently. Whether you’re preparing for IELTS, improving general English, or learning for academic and immigration purposes, I focus on making lessons effective and relevant.
- A Personalized and Goal-Oriented Approach
I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all method. Every student has their own strengths and challenges, so I take the time to understand what works best for each person. My lessons are designed to help students improve fluency, master grammar, and gain confidence in speaking, all while keeping learning enjoyable and purposeful.
- Fluency and Communication at the Core
Language is more than just rules—it’s about expressing yourself clearly and naturally. I focus on helping students speak with confidence, reduce hesitation, and think in English. I use real-life conversations, structured feedback, and targeted exercises to build both accuracy and fluency.
- A Balance of Structure and Flexibility
My lessons follow a clear, logical progression, but I also adapt based on what my students need. Some learners prefer a step-by-step plan, while others need a more flexible and interactive approach. I make sure that no matter the method, progress is steady and measurable.
- A Supportive and Encouraging Environment
Learning a language comes with challenges, and I create a space where students feel comfortable taking risks and making mistakes. I correct errors in a way that helps students understand and improve without feeling discouraged. My goal is to build confidence so they can use English in real-life situations without hesitation.
Personal Rules
To ensure a smooth and productive learning experience, I have a few guidelines for my lessons. These help set clear expectations and prevent misunderstandings.
- Recording Lessons
I do not allow lessons to be recorded. This helps maintain a comfortable and open learning environment where students can practice without concerns about privacy.
- Camera Usage
I prefer that students keep their cameras on during lessons, as face-to-face interaction plays an important role in communication and language learning. However, I understand that some situations may require flexibility, and I can accommodate when necessary.
- Cancellations and Rescheduling
I understand that unexpected situations arise, and I allow rescheduling with advance notice. However, last-minute cancellations may not always be accommodated. If a student needs to reschedule, I appreciate being informed as early as possible.
- Student Age
I teach teenagers and adults (15+). My lessons are designed for learners who are serious about improving their English, whether for exams, academic purposes, or daily communication.
- Lesson Structure and Order
Students can book a lesson at any time, but I recommend starting with an initial session where I assess their level, goals, and challenges. This allows me to design a personalized learning plan that fits their needs.
