Nice to meet you. My name is Momo.

I’m from Yantai, Shandong Province, China. I majored in Japanese in college and have passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N1. I’ve also obtained the Mandarin Level 2, Grade A certificate, which certifies standard Mandarin pronunciation.

For the past 10 years, I have worked as a PMO at a foreign-affiliated company, where I have driven projects forward while collaborating with multinational teams, including Japanese colleagues. Through this experience, I have developed the ability to convey information clearly and to communicate thoughtfully by putting myself in the other person’s shoes. I also have extensive experience conducting in-house training and specialize in breaking down complex topics into easy-to-understand sections and teaching them step by step.

Leveraging these skills, I am now working as a Chinese language tutor.

In my lessons, I place the highest priority on simply “giving it a try.” After all, language is something that you can improve only by actually using it.

For beginners, I start with simple greetings and commonly used phrases, gradually expanding their repertoire of practical Chinese for real-life conversations. I’ll help you naturally pick up pronunciation and tones as you converse. Rather than aiming to “speak perfectly,” the goal is to “simply try to get your point across” so you can enjoy the learning process more.

For intermediate and advanced-level learners, I offer lessons tailored to your interests and goals. I can cover a wide range of topics, including practical conversation for travel, honorific expressions for business settings, and practice using lines from your favorite TV shows or movies.

In my lessons, I strive to create a relaxed and enjoyable learning environment. It’s okay to make mistakes, so please feel free to keep trying new things. If you have any questions, I’ll be more than happy to assist you in either Japanese or Chinese, so you can participate with confidence.

My hobbies are reading and badminton. I often read historical novels and books on communication. One of the things I enjoy most about my lessons is talking about Chinese customs, culture, and food.
