 Hi there! 


Thank you for visiting my profile. 

I am a native English speaker from the UK with a degree and TEFL certificate. I have many years of teaching experience and currently teach conversational English, TOEFL exam prep and English for young learners. I’ve taught 1 – to – 1 lessons as well as group classes.

I like to start my courses by discussing learning goals with my students and I try to get a general idea of my students’ interests and hobbies outside of language learning. This helps me shape my lessons according to their needs. 

I am a trained TOEFL iBT test teacher and I deliver my lessons using a personalised learning plan.

I have previously taught students with prior knowledge of the exam, as well as complete beginners.

My course is designed for students who are aiming to achieve a score of 75 or above, and therefore is suitable for those who can at least achieve Intermediate on the CEFR scale.

 

My lesson resources and materials consist of the following:

 

Basic test guide

Test practise with example questions

Example responses (recordings, essays etc.)

Response feedback and analysis

Full test papers

 

Although the TOEFL test is a formal exam which allows for little creativity, I try to encourage my students to use their knowledge and life experience to enhance their answers whenever appropriate. This not only helps to ensure responses are genuine, but also makes lessons a lot more enjoyable.

 

I am also happy to provide student reviews from past students of mine.

 

 

N.B. I prefer to work with students (adults and kids) at an elementary level and above.

 

I have lots of experience working with teaching materials specifically for young learners such as, Wonders, OUP and National Geographic materials.

I also adapt my own lesson materials for children between 6-16 years old.

Comprehension activities 

History, science and culture focused units 

Fantasy reading and writing, and creative thinking segments

General focus on international awareness and cultural enrichment

 

*These lessons are designed for children who are already familiar with online learning and are disciplined and focused
