Hello Everyone.
My name is Ivy Rudd. Please call me Ivy.
I am an Australian and my family is also from Hong Kong. Currently I am living in the United Kingdom with my English husband and our gorgeous rescued cat Clara!
I have been teaching English since 2007 in Australia and I had also worked in Hiroshima Japan as a university English lecturer. I have also lived in Greece and have worked as a teacher and teacher trainer in the United Kingdom.
Since I had left Japan, I really miss the culture, food, and Japanese people! I love watching travelling shows about Japan because it reminds me of the wonderful time I had in this great country!
In England where I am living now, I love having walks in the countryside. I also love watching football and sports. My favourite football team is Manchester United. Which team do you support?
As your teacher, I can help improve your General English, speaking and pronuncation, but I can also help you in other areas such as Business English and Exam preparation as I have helped many other students before. I have worked in the English exam management area for a long time so I understand how daunting it could be to have to prepare for an exam! Just tell me what you wish and need to achieve in your English learning journey, and we will get there together.
Although I understand Japanese, I will expect you to speak mostly English in our class.
Making mistakes is how everyone learns to do things, and how everyone learns a language too!
I completely understand that it's not easy to learn a language. I've been there and believe me it wasn't easy at all to learn Japanese.
