Introduction
Hi my name is Cody and I’m a CELTA qualified English language teacher from Australia. I am just as passionate about teaching languages as I am about learning them. I am currently learning French and Japanese and I can speak some Spanish too. In my experience as a teacher and a learner, the best way to learn is to speak straight away, so our lessons will involve a lot of conversational learning. I am passionate about a range of things such as movies, art, music reading, global politics… I’m sure we’ll be able to find some fun topics to discuss together. In saying that, I want to help you with any language learning goals you may have, be it oral or written production, grammar, pronunciation, listening or reading or maybe you want to learn business English or Casual English. I can tailor or lessons to exactly what you need! I look forward to learning with you.

Experience
I have experience teaching in a classroom setting when I was living in Sydney, at International House and ILSC. This included, conducting and preparing classes, marking students' work, facilitating English conversation and more. I started teaching online last month and I absolutely love it!
Education / Certification
I undertook my tertiary education at the University of New South Wales, completing a Bachelor degree in International Studies and Japanese studies. After university I decided to study ESL pedagogy; I am a CELTA qualified ESL teacher. CELTA is the world's most recognised English teaching qualification for non-English speakers.
