Hello, Everyone.
My name is Yunmi. I was born and educated in South Korea. I currently live in North Carolina in the United States. My personality is bright, calm, curious, and challenging. I like movies and physical activity (like yoga and kayaking).
I have been teaching Korean to American and Korean-American students for 7 years at a Korean school in the city of Charlotte in North Carolina, USA.
My long-term goal is to teach Korean in a more structured, professional environment in the Korean school system. In order to do that, I am majoring in Korean in an online program at Korea university. I plan to officially get a Korean language teacher's license later next year. Additionally, I am currently preparing for the ACTFL (The American Council on the Teachings of Foreign Language) certificate, which will allow me to teach Korean as a foreign language in American public schools. I plan to obtain the ACTFL certificate in August of this year (2020).

I have a personal interest in learning languages. Presently, I am studying both French and Japanese. As a student of foreign language studies myself, I have unique insight into the challenges and concerns faced by learners of foreign languages. By looking from the student's perspective, I am able to ascertain which elements are difficult; this allows me to better assist my students and to continue learning and developing together.
I can teach Korean to English-speaking students of all levels.
I will help you learn Korean in a fun and interesting way. While everyone’s motivations for learning a foreign language may differ, fluency requires good pronunciation, proper sentence structure, and a commitment to remembering your learning goals. I am sincerely dedicated to helping you achieve those goals as we work together.
