Hello,
My name is Claudia. I was born and raised in Colombia, South America but I live in The United States since 2004. I speak Spanish and English fluently. I can also understand some Portuguese.
I am a Pharmacy Technician with 10 years of experience but I've been teaching English online for the past 3 years. I teach both children and adults but I mostly teach children. I have a Bachelor's degree in Education and also a TESOL and a TEFL.
English is the language of international communication. Learning English opens up many opportunities and increases your chances of getting a good job. English is important for socializing and entertainment as well as work.
Spanish is one of the world's most widely spoken languages and also one of the world's most romantic languages. Spanish has its own richness that makes it studying it a unique experience. If you are a business person then you should know that there are 400 million Spanish speakers worldwide and it is the second-largest language in the United States. Furthermore, Latin American countries are very important for trading partners.
If you like traveling, knowing how to communicate in Spanish and English will give you the opportunity to enjoy the many beautiful places you can visit in the Americas and feel comfortable and confident at communicating with the locals.
In my classes, you will find a fun environment where mistakes and questions are encouraged because we all learn from them. I want to provide my students with securing and confidence inside, and outside, the classroom. I can be described as an interactive, fun, dynamic, supportive, and transparent teacher. I know from experience some of the challenges students may encounter when learning a language but I also know how to overcome them.
My hobbies include traveling, dancing, learning languages, and playing the ukulele has become my latest one. I also love animals. I have two dogs and I've been happily married for 13 years.
