Who I am: My name is Shane Maritz, I am English and am so excited to teach you! I have a Bachelor’s degree and a TESOL certificate. 


What type of personality do I have for teaching: I am an easy going, relaxed, kind, passionate and adaptable English Tutor. I love teaching English to ESL students and I take great pride in seeing my student’s progress and development in English. I really try to make my classes fun and entertaining. 


What are my hobbies: Some of my hobbies include traveling, photography, cooking, playing Golf and obviously watching many different sports. I also love fishing and camping outdoors. I really look forward to studying with you in the future. 


My message to students/clients: Practice makes perfect, so do speak English in plenty. Some people think that they do not have the opportunity to practice speaking because they do not live in the US or another English-speaking country. They might also be discouraged because English is not used at their workplace, or they do not know any native speakers.

While there is some validity in those excuses, do not let them hinder your learning. Thanks to the growth of globalization and technology, you have more chances than ever to practice speaking English.
